Complex aromas of succulent black cherries, new oak, coffee, woodsmoke and butter lift from the glass. The first impression on taking a sip is of lovely intensity and roundness, beautiful velvety texture and oak that while present, is superbly well-integrated into the wine’s other attributes. This is full-bodied and succulent in character with a beautiful overall sense of refinement. It’s drinking well now, and will continue to do so for at least another seven years.
