Gentleness, fragrance, hints of liquorice, fresh red cherry fruit, supple texture and soft tannins all work together to make this the perfect summer red. The wine is mostly made from Gamay, to which it owes its delicacy and fragrance, and there is also a little Malbec in the final blend, which confers more roundness and succulence of texture.
