With a pale golden colour, this has beautiful aromas of fresh, juicy melon, peach and kiwi; complemented by jasmine and white pepper nuances. On the palate, it is fully dry, and its personality comes entirely from its frank, exubrant fruit character. Ripe and full yet brisk, fresh and balanced with honeydew melon and a lingering, spicy finish. It is made from 100% pedigree Muscat a Petit Grains (considered to be the finest), planted in calcareous soils at 700 metres altitude in the valley of Aragona, north of Jumilla. The dry climate with many hours of sunshine is perfect for growing this variety. Juan Gil vineyards are maintained sustainably, with respect for the local ecosystem: generating their own power and collecting water, and are now completely ‘off-grid’. The state-of-the-art winery is located among the vineyards, to minimise ‘grape miles’ for the benefit of both the environment and wine quality.
