The Mandelpfad Grosses Gewächs (‘Almond Path’ Grand Cru) is from the a select portion (‘Himmelsrech’ =‘Heaven’) of a warm, sheltered vineyard site. The wine is consequently a generous, rounded, rich expression of Riesling - dry, yet gentle and creamy in texture. The aromas are complex, with honeycomb, beeswax and vanilla bean alongside fruit tree blossom, passion fruit and pineapple. In the mouth, it is full and rich, with layers of texture, beautiful filigree structure and a fine, long finish.
