This has a fantastic bouquet of minerals, lemons, honey and a hint of classic Riesling beeswax aroma on the nose. Beautiful balance of medium sweetness, playful but structured acidity, low alcohol and fabulously satisfying richness. Very long finish. Very fine. This wine is from the famous Juffer vineyard which is on a bend in the Mösel river with perfect south facing exposure and iron-rich heat retaining slate. The vines are trained in the traditional Mösel manner with two shoots tied to a single stake, forming a heart pattern. Harvest is strictly by hand on the extremely steep slopes.
